The Metrology Laboratory of the National Standards Laboratory of Liberia is a major calibration body of the laboratory and operates in compliance with
ISO 17025:2005 international standards. It maintains a quality management system to ensure calibration practices are delivered at a consistently high standard.

Calibration and verification of temperature measuring instruments and equipment.

Calibration Matrices
Details of calibration matrices and instrument ranges supported by the Metrology Laboratory:
Temperature
- Calibration of temperature measuring instruments.
- Thermometers range: -200°C to +2315°C.
- Verification of heating/cooling equipment: autoclaves, freezers, refrigerators, hot plates, ovens, furnaces, boilers, and more.
Volume
- Calibration of burettes, pipettes, beakers, graduated cylinders, volumetric flasks, and standard measuring cans (visual gauge).
- Verification of dispensing pumps.
Mass
- Calibration of balances and scales: 1mg–5kg.
- Calibration of standard weights: 1mg–5kg.
- Verification of commercial scales: 5kg–400kg.
